Hello,

From me you can expect high standards in software quality: clean, organized and commented code, careful programming (aiming compatibility), abundant checking and extensive testing. Anticipating the maintenance work, my goal is to make it painless.

Job and pleasure, programming for me is the obsession for (the never reached) perfection. It's art.

I hope we can work together.

Regards,
Aurélio (verde@aurelio.net)

Aurélio in a Nutshell:

Born in 1977, Aurélio is an Electronics technician graduated in Computer Data Processing. He worked with Linux in Conectiva/Mandriva from 1997 to 2005. Since then he is an independent consultant and programmer.

He's a data master expert on parsing, formatting and converting. Experienced in Bash, SED, Python, PHP and Regular Expressions. Not a generalist, he goes deeply inside the tools, mastering them.

As a high-level programmer, he's also good on UI design and coding (console and GUI). Expert in Web solutions (SQL/CGI/HTML).

Experienced on taking software as a product, Aurélio maintain several Open Source projects, each with website, documentation, user support and marketing.

Aurélio is also articulated on words, writing articles to technical magazines and wrote a book about regular expressions. He also speaks in technical conferences and knows how to teach abstract things in a simple way.

Shell Script experience:

Shell programmer for 10 years, skilled in all Bash versions (and its incompatibilities).

He wrote the Conectiva Linux build system scripts (shell and Python), responsible for automatic generation and testing of all the packages of a Linux distro. He also worked as system administrator.

One technical achievement was to write a regular expression wizard using just the Bash builtin commands (see txt2regex). Other was to write the Sokoban game in SED (see SedSokoban) and a SED debugger (see sedsed). In Brazil, his collection of 70 mini-applications for the command line are widely used (see Funções ZZ).

He wrote two of the Brazilian most known shell documents: complete guide for the dialog interface (see Dialog --tudo) and the shell cheat sheet (see Canivete do Shell). His Shell Course 100 page e-book is a best seller.

His new Professional Shell Scripting book was published at April 2008. It focus on the shell use for professional programming.
